I passed the Salesforce Data Architect and Management Designer (Salesforce Data Architect) exam in November 2021. This is the 5th and final article in the series of certifications journey leading to achieving Application Architect credentials. I found this exam tougher, as it has many topics that need to be covered in depth. If you haven’t worked on those, it takes more time and effort to understand. It took me 4 months to study and then before exam day, I started revising all my notes 3 days before.
- This is the only exam for which I purchased Focus on Force Study guide and mock exams both.
- Read a lot of documentation as mentioned on Trailhead – I didn’t rushed to mark the sections as done. I revisited some sections again and again. I felt the need to refer to one trail/document for different exam sections.
- Refer to the YouTube video for Master data management (MDM)
- For Large Data Volumes section, I found this helpful – SOQL Query performance – Tips and tricks
- Scale with Large Data Volumes and Big Objects
- A study group called DecodeSFDC certifications has nice, long discussion sessions dedicated to this exam like this one on Data Modeling
- Parallel data loading – Watch this, but keep in mind that this is an old webinar, but some part are still relevant.
- Whichever topic seems tough to you, just YouTube it and look for content from Salesforce, Salesforce Developers or other trusted publishers.
- Refer to Record locking cheatsheet again and again, till you understand most of it.
